embrace me

3 December 2009 One Comment

Another passing of the day

another hour wasted away

can I discipline embrace

might this life be more than a race

to get through again and again

what have I in my heart but sin

where is this crown to win?

God, take away my shame

grant me a chance to gain

Thy grace

thank you for the cross

where my Savior died with loss

but promised new life

you won me grace through your strife

nothing can estrange your love

Refreshing water is your story

I am found surrounded in glory

this ordinary man

thankful that there is a greater plan

than the mess I’ve made for myself

Give me your vision

for my provision

Help me see beyond

the darkness, beyond

to the light

    Nice, that’s really good.
