stop

30 November 2009 One Comment

Today I was wandering about journaling and how to write in my blog and I remembered Renato Amato’s blog http://healingbrokenhearts.com and listened to the audio on the home page.  I was touched by his message.  That we can stop and set aside the time to approach God with our brokenness.  Here are the verses I found on his web site:

“The Lord is near to them that are of A BROKEN HEART; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit” (Psalms 34:18).

“Whenever you are in need, go bravely before the throne of your merciful God. There you will be treated with kindness, and you will find help.” (Hebrews 4:16)

I think it is such an easy message, but today I hear the Lord whispering to stop and to come to Him, because he wants to heal my broken heart.  As I sit in the coffee shop in Charlottesville and write and pray I feel like He is near.
