being yourself

Wholeness would also involve accepting my spiritual brokenness, accepting individual strengths, and accepting my individual weaknesses. Therein lies the freedom to live. It scares me to think of these things. To not be in control. I must trust that there is an all mighty, all knowing, all loving God who is in control and who does look after me. I think this is what is truly meant behind that cliche “Let Go and Let God.”

Wow, that is so true, so good. May God breathe on us as we try to embody that.
Romans 12:3-6: “For I say through the grace given to me…not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then GIFTS DIFFERING according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them…in proportion to our faith.”
Colossians 2:9-10: “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
II Corinthians 12:9b-10: “Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon (“overshadow”) me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake, for when I am weak, then I am strong.”
God bless you Gavin, take care.
